I started the trip around 10:30 AM after having breakfast. Mahad is located around 30 Kms from Kamothe Sector-17. It is just an hour drive to the temple, but this subject to the traffic condition.
There is well managed parking area for the vehicles if you are travelling by your own vehicle. It is Varad Vinayak Ashtavinayak temple. (Marathi: अष्टविनायक) literally means "eight Ganeshas" in Sanskrit.

It is very nice and holy place. And here the puja is done by the devotee himself. Though there are purohits but the puja is done by the individuals.
Outside market area at Mahad
Half day is enough to visit the temple and see the place and come back. There is another option to do Pali (Ballaleshwar) temple on the same day. We headed to Pali from Mahad which is another 35 Km via Khopoli which is 6 KM from Mahad.
On the way you will go via Imagica Theme park. Few clicks I took on the way of Imagica.

Ballaleshwar temple is the only temple of Ganesh, famous by the name of his devotee. The temple is located in the toen of Pali, off the Mumbai-Pune highway, about 11 km before Nagothane on Mumbai-Goa highway.
Inside the temple the puja is done by purohits.
My apology I didn't able to take pictures of Ballaleshwar temple as it was raining heavily and I didn't want to expose my SLR to the rains.
On the way back we had our lunch in one of the dhabba, good malwan food and reached home around 5:30 PM.
